NOW Pensions Platform Transition: Gateway to now:u

NOW Pensions, our workplace pension provider, is transitioning from the current Gateway portal to a new enhanced platform called now:u.

This article provides essential information about the transition timeline and what you need to know to navigate this change.

🌟 Enhanced Features of the now Platform

The new now:u platform introduces several improvements designed to enhance how you interact with and manage your pension:

• Mobile Accessibility: The now:u platform includes a mobile app that allows you to check your pension savings from any device at any time, providing greater flexibility in how you monitor your retirement funds.
• Pension Consolidation: If you have pensions from previous employers, the new:u platform makes it easier to find and combine them with your current pension. This consolidation can simplify your retirement planning by keeping all your pension pots in one place.
• Expanded Investment Options: The now:u platform will offer a range of carefully-designed investment solutions, including a Shariah option. This provides you with more control over how your pension is invested according to your personal preferences and values.
• Retirement Planning Tools: New planning tools allow you to project your retirement finances and visualize how much you might have when you retire. These tools can help you make informed decisions about your future financial security.

⌚ Recommended Actions

Before 30 April: Complete any pending actions in the Gateway portal

30 April - 12 May: No pension portal access will be available

After 12 May: Begin using the new now platform for all pension management needs

 ‼️Special Instructions for Recent Enrolees

If you have recently been enrolled to our workplace pension scheme, you received an enrolment notice with your opt-out window dates. If your opt-out window falls during the transition period (30 April - 12 May), you have three options:

Option 1: Use Gateway Before the Transition

• Log in to nowgateway.com before 5pm on 30 April 2025
• Select 'opt out' from your job contract
• Follow the provided instructions to complete your opt-out

Option 2: Email an Opt-Out Form (only available between 30 April and 12 May)

• Download the form from com/opt-out
• Complete the form and email it to optinout@nowpensions.com and pensions@nasagroup.co.uk

Option 3: Wait for the now:u Launch

• If your opt-out window extends beyond 12 May 2025, you can use the new now:u platform
• After 12 May, visit com/stop to process your opt-out

😕 Important Reminder About Opt-Out Windows

Your opt-out request must be received on or before your personal opt-out window end date to receive a refund of your contributions. If your request is received after this date:

• You and your Employer (Nasa) will stop making contributions
• You will not receive a refund of contributions already made
• Your pension funds will remain invested until retirement or until transferred to another pension scheme

If you are outside your opt-out window and wish to leave the scheme, this is considered "ceasing active membership." You can use any of the three methods above to stop contributions, but no refund will be provided.
