Pension deductions alongside statutory entitlements

Pension contributions from statutory entitlements and how this works.

Workplace pension contributions are collected from statutory payments at standard rates of 3% employers and 5% employees.

This means that if you are in receipt of statutory maternity pay, paternity pay, or any of the other types of payment, the auto-enrolment deductions will continue unless you have opted out from the workplace pension scheme.

Private pension deductions cannot be made from Statutory Payments, so if you have a private pension arrangement with Nasa Umbrella, these deductions will cease until you are being paid for your normal time again.
