What this means for you
SafeRec certification means your pay is:
- Processed through fully audited payroll systems
- Cross-checked against HMRC Real Time Information (RTI) submissions
- Continuously monitored to ensure deductions and payments are correct
In simple terms, it gives you confidence and peace of mind that your pay is handled properly and in line with HMRC rules.
🧾 Payslip Buddy – clarity built in
As part of this enhanced compliance, you’ll now have access to Payslip Buddy, a tool that independently reviews your payslips and helps you understand them clearly. Payslip Buddy helps you:
- See that tax, National Insurance and other deductions are correct
- Spot potential issues early
- Feel confident in how your take-home pay is calculated
If you're paid this week, Payslip Buddy will send you an email inviting you to register on Friday evening (19th). If you’re not paid this week, the Payslip Buddy email will be sent on the Friday following your next payment.
This is optional and if you do not wish to register for Payslip Buddy, you can simply do nothing and you will not be contacted again.
Why we’ve added SafeRec
From early 2026, new Joint & Several Liability (JSL) rules will increase accountability across the supply chain, with greater focus on payroll compliance and transparency.
While this change mainly affects agencies and end-clients, it ultimately exists to protect workers and raise standards across the industry.
By achieving SafeRec certification now, we’re demonstrating — independently and in real time — that our payroll processes already meet these higher standards.
