Important dates relating to payments to SIPP providers.
We work with many pension providers and for operational and regulatory reasons the below payment schedule has been adopted to ensure accurate, compliant and consistent process for everyone.
Please ensure before going ahead with our salary sacrifice service that you are happy with this payment schedule, and that this suits your requirements. We can only pay in line with the dates outlined below.
🚨 Nasa Umbrella are unable to facilitate Direct Debit payments to pension providers. Payments can only be sent by an electronic BANK TRANSFER (BACS or Faster Payment).
📊 The Deduction Period for SIPPs represents a tax month that runs from the 6th of the month to the 5th of the following month; and means the payroll dates when deductions were made, and not your timesheet dates or the dates your net salary was paid into your bank account. You can view your payroll dates on your payslips under Pay Date.
📈 For example: if your timesheet for month ending 30 April 2025 was paid with a pay date of 7 May 2025, the pension deduction made on that date falls in the deduction period from 6 May to 5 June 2025. It will therefore be remitted to your pension provider on 20 June 2025.

** Please note this run is made by default, but you can opt out if you wish to. We will contact you close to the end of the financial year to see if you would prefer not to have this additional payment made to your provider before the end of the financial year.
⏰ End of Tax Year - Additional Payment
At the end of each tax year, we make an additional payment to your pension provider on the 4th of April. This is based on feedback from our contractors to top up their pension pot before the end of the financial year.
This payment will be made up of any pension funds we have retained between the 6th March and 28th March.
Anything retained from income between 31st March and 4th April will be paid to your provider on the 20th April, as per the usual SIPP schedule outlined above.
