Your NOW Pensions pot: What you need to know
From 6 November 2026, our workplace pension moves from NOW Penisons to People’s Pension. If you were enrolled with NOW Pensions, this guide explains how to view your NOW Pensions account, how to stop paying in before the switch if you want to, and how to move your savings to People’s Pension.

Viewing your NOW Pensions account
NOW Pensions members manage their pension through now:u, available as an app or online.
- On your phone: download the now:u app from the App Store or Google Play.
- On a computer: log in at nowu.nowpensions.com/login.
- Never logged in before? Go to the now:pensions Start page for step-by-step set-up instructions. You’ll need your now:pensions account number and National Insurance number.
Stopping payments into NOW Pensions (opting out)
You’ll stay with NOW Pensions until 5 November 2026, and the usual NOW Pensions process applies until then.
How to stop paying in:
- If you’ve used now:u before: log in and choose Stop paying in under NASA’s name.
- If you’ve never logged in: use now:pensions’ online stop paying in form.
Will I get a refund?
- Yes, if you stop within one month of receiving your enrolment notice, The refund comes from NASA through payroll, not from NOW Pensions.
- No, if it’s been longer than that. Your savings stay invested in your NOW Pensions account until you retire or transfer them.
From 6 November, your contributions go to People’s Pension instead. People’s Pension will send you its own details, including how to opt out, once you’ve been moved across.
Moving your NOW Pensions pot to People’s Pension
Your NOW Pensions pot won’t move automatically. If you’d like all your savings in one place, you can transfer it once you’re a People’s Pension member.
How to transfer:
- Wait for your People’s Pension login details, then activate your account.
- Log in and use People’s Pension’s transfer form.
- Give them your NOW Pensions details, such as your account number.
- People’s Pension asks NOW Pensions for the money, so you don’t need to contact NOW Pensions yourself.
