As a Director of a limited company, there are certain responsibilities that you must adhere to.
- Follow the company’s rules, shown in its articles of association
- Keep company records and report changes
- File your accounts and your Company Tax Return
- Tell other shareholders if you might personally benefit from a transaction the company makes
- Pay Corporation Tax
Ultimate responsibility w/ director - not exhaustive list
You can of course hire others to help with some of these things day-to-day (for example, an accountant like Nasa Consulting) but you’re still legally responsible for your company’s records, accounts and performance. This means in shortened terms, that even when you engage an accountancy practice, you are still responsible.
You may be fined, prosecuted or disqualified from being a company director if you do not meet your responsibilities.
As this is of course a great amount of responsibility, here are Nasa Consulting we believe in supporting our clients as much as we possibly can to ensure they meet the requirements, and run a successful company. We'll provide two-way software, reminders, and constant communication to prompt you when needed, and help you to navigate these responsibilities successfully.
